Have you heard this before? It seems like people do not understand the effort required to build a lasting residual income. I have likened MLM Marketing to planting seeds. To be successful you have to know how deep to plant and how much water is needed and how much nurturing they will need to grow.You also have to plant seeds every day again and again. Did you know that the top 1000 multilevel marketing income earners in the world make $25,000 to $1,000,000 per month? These people are making more than most of the doctors and lawyers in this country.
So why do most people who join a multilevel marketing company fail?
Using the analogy above it is because they grab a few seeds and throw them on the ground and stand over them and watch…and watch… and watch. Then after nothing happens they proclaim “See it doesn’t work”. If you were a farmer would you wait a few days and when you don’t see sprouts coming up decide to give up farming? That they could go out and just get a person or two and then help them get two and everything else would take care of itself. Blog Money – How to monetize your blog
Blog Money – Start Earning
So you have seen all the benefits of having a Blog and now you have one set up and are ready to make money from it. What is next?
For this article I will assume that you are already getting traffic. If not then please read my other posts on building traffic. Obviously you will need traffic to your Blog before you can sell anything from it.
The top ways to start earning some Blog Money:
- Content
- Affiliate Programs
- Advertisement
- Accept Donations
- Your own product (Ebook etc)
- Memberships
- Training & Consulting
- Google Adwords
So lets go into each one and decide what is best for you and your blog to start earning some blog money.
Content – Some Bloggers make money by writing for other Blogs and/or syndicating content but the reason I put this one first is that having quality content that helps your readers is the most important thing you can do to earn money blogging. If your readers like you and relate to you and most of all begin to value your opinion then you have built a quality Blog. Do not underestimate your readers and think you can just post a bunch of PLR articles that have been all over the web or hire a cheap writing service to churn out keyword stuffed paragraphs and people will like your Blog.
Affiliate Programs – One of the most popular and easiest ways to make some blog money is to sign up for affiliate programs and earn commissions from the sales of any pass through clicks from your blog. This can be done easily with services like ClickBank and Rapbank. Make sure that the items listed on your site are related and valuable to your readers. It is best to sell things that you have personally used and can vouch for. You can even do a review of the product in one of your Blog posts.
Advertisement – If you have a good amount of traffic you can sell advertisement through services like BuySellAds and others. These services will help you charge a flat fee or a per click fee for ads being shown on your site. Depending on the traffic of your site you could easily earn a few hundred dollars a month in blog money from these alone. Choose your ads and how many you run carefully since your advertiser may show ads that do not fit your content or even worse from competitors.
Accept Donations – many Blogs overlook this and I think it has a valuable place in earning Blog Money. You can accept donations through PayPal and others to help fund your blog. This works best with blogs that offer a lot of free services and help to their readers. Again if you offer solutions and help to your readers they will be more willing to help you out by donating to the cause.
Your own Product – For those that have been blogging and establishing themselves as an expert in their field this is probably the one that makes them the most money. Top online marketers all have their own video course or eBook that solves a problem and/or offers training on a particular subject. You can have an introductory product such as an eBook for as little as $.95 and more in depth training materials for as much as $97. This can be delivered electronically very easily and you never have to get involved after you set up the materials and the processing system. Ejunkie is a very popular and easy to use way to sell downloadable products online.
Memberships – Membership sites can generate a lot of monthly income if you an ongoing service or training that offers a great deal of new and fresh value each month. The challenge will be to keep your members very happy with the value of the service and you can even set up your own affiliate program to pay them for referrals.
Training & Consulting – This goes back to having your own product or service but goes a little further. Perhaps you would like to offer personal training or a set of training videos with you in them. Good trainers and marketers charge upwards of $500 or more for in depth training and consulting. You should have established yourself as a leader in your field and have great testimonials to back it up.
Google Adwords – This one has been around a long time now and many people are very happy with their Adwords results. Google will place ads on your site and rotate them and then share in the revenue that those ads produce. Keep in mind that you want to control what kind of ads are displayed as much as you can since the Blog is your online reputation.
Word of caution: Do not make your Blog just a place for ads and loose what makes it unique. Let your personality come through and give your readers valuable content and the money will come. Some Blog owners just throw up a lot of ads and hope someone clicks on them. Your readers are looking for value in the content first and then if they like and trust you they will value your opinions and ads.

Vegetables and More Money? What?
So you want to earn more money online right? Maybe you are part of an affiliate program or in network marketing and you want to boost your income online.
So what do vegetables have to do with this? Is your mom watching you Blog and asking if you ate your vegetables? She might be, but what I am really talking about is online farming.
Imagine for a moment that you had money seeds and all you had to do was plant them in your yard and watch them grow into money plants. How many seeds would you plant? Would you plant five or ten seeds? How about 100 seeds? I think you would plant as many as you could get your hands on. Why? Well obviously the more seeds you plant the bigger your harvest will eventually become.
This is very true about marketing online!
Farming will make you rich. The problem for many people is that they hunt instead. They take out their biggest gun and they look for a prospect and they shoot 10 times and hope they “get em”.
